Uploading Pics And Attachments

Every time i try to upload a pic or attachment to supply info it does not work. Anyone know why? :angry:

I just discovered that i had my Java disabled. Do ya think that could have been the problem?

Does the picture “link” pop up in the text field when you press the insert?

possibly, give it a try and find out, i believe it uses java to do the transfer

You attach the photo to the post, you need to be in full reply mode to do this. after you attach the picture you will see a buton that says insert and click that and it will put the text in the post for the image.

Still having issues. I tried turning Java on…no difference. I recently tried to copy and paste a link to an Eric The Car Guy vid into a full reply answer and it didn’t show in the post.

I’m using internet explorer 9 with security set to defaults. Is maybe my other security software or firewall blocking this?

I sometimes see other empty posts so i’m not the only one having these problems.

I dont think the Java is the trouble. Try another browser then Explorer, im using mozilla Firefox. What kind of Security software do you have? I dont think the Windows firewall is blocking, if it dose you will normaly get a pop up screen warning.

As a Security software i recommend the Microsoft Security Essential. This software is free to download at Microsoft.com

Check if you have the latest service pack.

I use ESET Nod32 antivirus and Malwarebytes pro with the Windows 7 firewall besides the one on my router. Nothing ever pops up for either saying that it’s blocking my upload. All the patches are up to date.

I use Security Essentials on some of my other computers and i’m not sure it will even block a virus or malware let alone anything else.

The only thing that pops up is warning me that only secure content is displayed and that is almost driving me to drink. When i click on show all content only advertising comes up. I think it’s google being intrusive as usual.

I’m not a fan of Firefox. IE should work.

the above post proves that the website is working fine. Perhaps you are hitting preview and the image is not coming up because the image does not yet exist on the server. you must submit the post before it gets uploaded to the server.
