hello i have a 1983 honda accord 1.8L sedan automatic.
iv almost completed the rebuild inside and out. car has around 110k miles.problem im having is driving on the freeway and as soon as i start going uphill the cars power deteriorates and drops from 85mph to 6mph roughly with pedal all the way down. even with the kickdown and the car shifting down, it doesnt help, the car just slowly slows and slows down until im at the top of the hill and start going down, i can easily pick up to 80mph again.
and its a constant struggle.
carbs been rebuilt, new cap and rotor, spark plugs, cooling system, carb rebuilt (diaphrams, gaskets and orings ect) and cleaned. timing checked and almost anything i can think of…if anyones farmiliar with these old cvcc carbs and has an idea please throw whatever you got at me. it may or may not be a carb issue but id like to be pointed at all sides of this issue. thankyou for the help in advance !
