I am working on taking the wiring harness out of my 1995 Integra. I have been trying to repair the ECT connector and temp gauge connector. Splicing them doesn’t seem to be working. Seems easier to repair and get it repaired if the harness is out of the car. There is one more connector I have to unhook, but I am not too sure what it is, or how to take it off. I would appreciate the feed back 🙂

Hmm a bit hard to tell exactly what it is.first make sure there is no single blade plugs further down the wire away from the sensor.
If there isnt it looks as tho it has a grey rubber outer that will slide back. That should show a 6mm or 8mm bolt that holds a eyelet terminal onto the sensor.

At first glance, it looks like a rubber boot that can just slide back, but it is really on there. It seems like the only way to see under the rubber would be to cut it. I also don’t know if there is going to be any fluid coming out after the bolt is unscrewed.

            It’s an oil pressure sensor.

Yes, it is an oil psi sensor, not the coolant temp sensor. With the removal of a couple of clips and some other connectors, you can get the harness to a place where you can repair it. I recommend soldering.

And solder I did 🙂 I tried connecting them with butt connectors but no luck. I did catch potential shorts in the wires and soldered those too. Maybe that will fix it, if not, I may have to buy another harness online somewhere.
