I’m unable to attach my center beam in my 94 Accord. It’s a ~2ft bar which bolts to the bottom of the front subframe and then hooks onto the exhaust pipe running down the center of the car.
The bores on the center beam are misaligned with the subframe by about 1/4″. I think I may have bent it when I used a floor jack behind the tow hook at the front of the beam.
Can I lower/drive the car while I wait for a new center beam without doing any structural damage? It seems the only support the beam provides is to the exhaust pipe, which has several other hooks supporting it.
