My daughter’s boyfriend has a Acura Integra I think around 93-95. He needs a tune written to make the car run right. any thoughts on where he can get one. We live in the Delaware.
      Thanks

This isn’t something you download off the internet. I recommend looking for a shop that specializes in import tuning or has a dynometer and has a tuning specialist on staff to point you in the right direction. An improperly tuned engine can ruin it, especially for someone with no idea what they have

Ya. These are pre obdII cars so you are gonna have to find a shop that specializes in tuning older cars. Cause if i recall these aren’t as simple as reflashing the ECU but having to replace a chip or a set of chips in the car. There are places that still do it. You might still wanna look around for the various tuner shops in your area. They might have an old tech that’s had a 20+ years of experience willing to do it for you. Also you can always try the various Honda/Acura forums on the internet as they might know someone in your area or close to it. Also if you aren’t having any luck. Look around for the local import tuners groups in your area. They might know of someone as well.

If all else fails. Go to a local drag strip on test and tune night. look for someone with a similar honda/acura of your vintage and ask them.

It actually involves having a chipped ecu with a sX00 interface functionality or someone who can burn specific flash chips on the fly. Hence finding a tuner shop with someone who specializes in this.

Unless something drastic has been done to the engine, a tune shouldn’t really be required to make it run properly. A tune would help, but shouldn’t be required.

Your best bet would be to find a local car club that’s into imports, particularly Hondas. They would be the most likely to know someone.
