Wow you have a 94 with only 30k on it. Sweet. I don’t know what the factory service manual calls for but if all the O.E. equipment is still on the truck I would be checking or replacing all of the belts and hoses because they dry rot over time. I would grease everything that has a grease fitting and inspect the rubber parts like the C.V. boots if it is 4 wheel drive and ball joints etc… If you really want to know what is recommended you can go on the big aftermarket auto parts web sites and some of them list the service intervals for your vehicles after you put in the info. Hope this helps you out some anyhow.

+1 yep look it up in the owners manual. but really 30k miles on a 94? i would be sure to check for leaks and check all fluids. rear and front diff transfer case if you have them. low milage and old age does no good on seals and gaskets. sticky parts mite be a factor aswell. only time will tell.

Has the truck been sitting? I’m just wondering why the miles are so low. Excellent suggestions above.

Betcha he’s referring to a service that’s supposed to be performed every 30K miles, and truck has 30 x Whoknowswhat on it.

Answer > If the truck is that old and it’s new to you, check everything, and repair or replace as necessary.

Thanks for all your help . The truck has about 175k and still runs like a champ. I will check all your suggestions.

Yea I think the forum is all over this one and I have little to add. Usually that service would entail all fluids, a tire rotation, fuel filter, air filter, I don’t think plugs because I think those might be 100K plugs, check the owners manual for specifics.
