i have a 2010 Toyota tundra with the 5.7 and the 6 speed. i was looking in the owners manual and the only thing it says about the transmission is to check the fluid around 100k. i got the truck with 77k on it about 10 months ago and now about hitting that 100k mark. and im not sure weather i should change the fluid or not. ive also heard that Toyota transmissions have to have Toyota fluid is this true?

I would change the fluid using the correct Toyota fluid.
I believe there is a check on the trans fluid at 90k on a 2010 tundra… remember that is to check it, not change it.. there are special procedures to check the trans fluid (note…there is no dipstick).. so I don’t recommend a DIYER to do it….
And yes, the only fluid to use is Toyota ATF-WS (World Standard)
