Trying to help a friends tranny

My friend has a 04 ford explorer that’s tranny that went out on him. He pulled the codes and got a po743 torque converter clutch circuit electrical, po755 shift solenoid b and shift solenoid c. Any ideas would be appreciated. He said his wife reversed out of the driveway and put into drive and would not move, gives more gas and it moves very slowly with no power.

sadly automatic transmission are really hard to work on, the only thing I could suggest you is to remove the tranny and shipped it to a transmission repair shop. Maybe it’s really easy to fix this problem I didn’t see the car but with my experience A/T are not fixable easily like a manual 🙁

check the wiring harness to the trans for broken wires.
Otherwise a transmission shop is your best bet for testing
and diagnostic.

I’m having a similar issue, are you getting a grinding noise as if your power steering pump was going, but coming from your transmission? If the vehicle is worth something to your friend, it would probably be best to swap from a junk yard or take it to a shop. With my issue though I am not getting any codes, but the problem sounds the same. I’ve been doing research for days because I’m looking to work on mine as a project in my spare time and if I can obtain any valuable information or at least something reliable, I’ll be sure to share.
