truck coolant tank.

      hey. i was wandering what the best way to seal a coolant tank just enough to get by. the truck is a 2001 ford ranger i belive it’s a 2.3 liter. and it is 2 wheel drive. verry little money. much appreciated.

        There is no real good way to seal it. If its a crack you may be
        able to put some epoxy on the crack. You would need to remove
        the tank and dry it before the repair. If the tank is a pressurized tank
        it wont work.

          I do belive it is because coolant leaks out the crack. and we’ve tried gorilla glue, gorilla tape, gorilla tape over the gorilla glue. I think I can try going to a salvage yard and get a used tank there. because there $105.00 at autozone. and we don’t have that much money. woiuld u suggest that?

              Might try a product called shoe goo.

              Stuff is amazing.
              Just need to clean the surface well inside and out and perhaps sand the outside a bit before applying
