So my recently acquired Accord needed some winterizing if I have any hope of getting my money’s worth out of buying it and fixing the broken transmission. Videos of the transmission overhaul are in a older post in this ‘how-to’ forum. This video shows what I did to treat existing and deadly rust holes that I don’t have the means to fix properly by patching in new metal and doing good bodywork.

I used about $120 worth of cleaner and paint to do what is shown, and I’d need double to do the whole thing underneath. I only did the parts in dire need of attention in the video. I’m going to try and do the rest before things freeze over for the winter.

Check the video description for links to the products used and some more information. I’ll also respond to any questions about it here.

Thanks for taking the time and posting your work….very good job! I have two late model GM vehicles that are on their way to that. I even spray under the car while washing to try to remove the salt.

I have no idea what to cover the holes with. I’m no structure person and don’t know Hondas, but is the infrastructure (support/frame) of the vehicle ok?
