Off of the top of my head:

        1. Check the transmission fluid level. Look in your user manual or get a Haynes manual at your local auto store to see how to do that. Add if you have to.

        2. As your car warms up, does the idle get better? Your car may be long over due for a tune up.

        3. Go under and check the filters in the transmission. You may have a clogged filter but since you didn’t mention shifting problems after the warm up, it may not be that but it couldn’t hurt to do it anyway.

        Good luck!

It’s probably a valve body issue with spool valves that are sticking at first when you start the car but free up as the fluid moves around and warms up. I’ve had issues with that in my high mileage Accord transmission and did some videos about it, but there are so many more out there having the same kinds of problems. Sticking valves are usually a secondary problem happening because of fluid contamination either from metal or large particles of clutch dust. Both of the times I had sticking valve problems was due to bearing failures that had produced metal debris in the fluid. If you’re up for taking the transmission apart (which is required to check the transmission filter for debris or clogging), there are many videos of people doing that sort of thing.
