I was wondering if anyone has heard of or has ever dealt with a automatic transmission kickdown valve mainly on newer transmissions that are ran with tcm and pcm. Do they ever exist.

With the advent of electronic controls on transmissions the kick down cable has gone away and has been gone for some time. With an electronically shifted transmission you just don’t need the same mechanical controls to run the transmission. So how about we talk about what problem you’re having and take it from there.

          What transmission or vehicle?
I know some transmissions such as the early to mid 90’s escort used a throttle cable that regulated oil pressure while still having solenoids for shifting e.t.c.. They were later replaced with electronic pressure control solenoid.
