has any one used these tranny drain plug kits herd some say they leak I have one that I installed in a metal can fill it it with water and a week later there was nothing leaking I did this foe a test
so I think they will work On my jeep three years ago I installed a spin on oil filter on the return cooler line going back to the tranny That is working good before my jeep I had a 91 blazer that had 179,000 miles on it and that was the tranny it was born with I had a spin on filter on that and I would just change the filter every time I did an oil change I use that blazer hard towing pulling 4×4 and never had a tranmission fail
so my question is along with my filter trans cooler is the drain plug kit any good Its my thinking that transmissions go bad from the lack of maintenance the cleaner the oil the better

i have a mk2 escort and it had no drain plug so i put one in and it stripped the thread i taped so i would not suggest using it on alloy .steel should be ok but it depends on the plug style .i used a bolt style kit but for alloy i would use one like the drain plug in the picture whitch is what i have to replace mine with because it puts force on a diffrent area
