a buddy of mine have a 1995 toyota pickup auto tranny.it have 250,000 mile on it.and transmission fluid has never been change.he is scared to change it now.he say tranny will died if he does is that possible.

It’s very possible to cause issues by changing the fluid. The detergent qualities in the new fluid my clean the crud off of areas that are working as is.

When you drain out all the old fluid, theoretically you remove all the miniscule debris that was providing the friction to make it work.
