Secondary AIR injection system will cause CEL (check engine light) on 6 cylinder models
Repair will require replacement of solenoid on Passenger of block above Exhaust Manifold, and Air pump located underside of truck inside frame rail there is a hose (same vac. cleaner hose will need to dry out)
Will cause the air pump to lock up and will cause the solenoid to rust in stuck close or open position.
Simple fix is on a warm day pull house off and let water drain out (avoid submerging of frame rails of truck)
Cam phaser solenoid (located on cylinder head passenger side toward front of motor 10mm fastener will leak oil on to exhaust manifold causing a burning oil smellIt should be noted these codes may not set off a service vehicle soon light or CEL or abs light as none of these lights were on when
EBD module-fault code C0— will come up saying relay is faulty replacement of relay is only a temp fix other issues are pedal kicking and grinding noise coming from pedal force engagement of brakes making the vehicle sluggish to move at speed below 5 MPH.
(I have filled a notice to NTSB as when engagement happens brake lights do not operate as the pedal is not being depressed)Transfer case motor- Shows C0— code fault for short in system or fault with motor on t-case replacement of tcase motor and TSB through GM states the every 3 monthes IIRC to operate 4wd system in all ranges 2hi-4hi-4low-auto
This will be the last GM product me or my wife will ever by.
