yes p401 I used to have multiple misfire code but after changing all those part it’s just on one cylinder now but I check the coil pack spark plugs and fuel injector for that one cylinder a they seem fine.I have good fuel presser and compression no vacuum leaks 93 oct gas
that car has a distributorless ignition system so everything is a pain.
Got any ideas? I would love the help thanks for the reply.

The P0401 is an EGR insufficient flow detected code. I’ve read that the vacuum modulator is a common problem on these cars. Here’s a link to another thread on a forum that shows you how to test it.

Hey thanks for the reply. I took off my EGR and clean it very will it look like it had rust and rock salt it in I think that canister maybe as issue but can it cause a misfire?

Yes it can, especially a random misfire. If carbon gets built up in the valve, then it won’t seat properly and will leak exhaust gases back into the intake manifold when it’s not needed. Thus causing that darn misfire.

Haha no worries, that’s what we’re all here for! Did you test the modulator and EGR?

Yeah I checked it out the EGR was really nasty and the modulator did not hold air,
So I hope that this will solve my issue.
