Hi all,
I am currently working on a 1993 Toyota 4-Runner which has a coolant leak at the rear of the engine. After many hours and a front tyre removal, I have found the problem to be the heater return hose from the heater core. There is a 90 degree metal elbow which has a rubber hose connected to it which is leaking where the metal elbow meets the engine block. (I have attached a photo of the same engine (not mine) with the elbow in question circled). The question I have is, how do I attempt to fix this? Does it require the engine to be removed? Any information anyone has would be helpful as I am not that experienced in fixing 4-runners, I mostly work on Fords.
Thanks!! 😉
