      Thanks!!!

      Muskogee Ok!

      Hello and good day.
Thank you for taking the time to read this!!!

      I live in Muskogee Oklahoma.
there has been alote of talk here lately about how Tulsa has passed this new law saying they can tow a car if it does not have insurance.
At first It was just Tulsa with the law.. .Now Okc talks that they have it as well.

This is a good law and I hold nothing against it!!

My problem is I cant find a job right now and im 25 and a single father of a 2 year old baby girl that i love so much…

My insurance runs out tonight at midnight!!!
Soo Ill be parking my truck…

My brother and me got into it to night about (He claims I can drive but as long as i pull into a lot that is privet property they can not tow me just ticket me and force me to leave my truck in that lot!)

(He claims it would break the 4th amendment Prohibits unreasonable searches and seizures and sets out requirements for search warrants based on probable cause)

Could some one validate this for me???

I wont be driving unless I got to take my daughter some wear…

Im working threw a temp office to try and get some work but I dont know how to get to a job they send me on with out a car!!!

Plz dont judge me…Im just in a tight spot right now and will be getting my insurance back asap!!!
      Thanks God bless!

I could see if you were pulled over while driving and you couldn’t show proof of insurance that they could tow your car. But I have a hard time believing that they would actively seek your car and tow it from a private property for no insurance.

However, if you have a loan on the car, the finance company can repo your car for not having insurance to protect their collateral.

          Easy to validate.

Anonymously call your local sheriff or police department and ask them, better yet, call your local (regional) highway patrol office and ask them also. You could also probably hit your state’s website and verify the DMV laws.

I hate to hear that you are in a tight jam, I will keep you in our prayers, keep your chin up, you will pull through!

Keep us updated on what you find out.

in Oregon yes they can tow a car without insurance and also depends on the cop to my friend dot tickets and this on girl got her car towed she had her 4 kids with her so keep your insurance it could save you a lot of money from a ticket, tow fees and storage fees

They can suspend your right to possession any time they see that you have breached the contract that you voluntarily commit to.

You gave up your absolute power when you exchanged the ‘bill of sale’ for a certificate title which gave joiner and bondage to whatever the motor vehicle act reads now and future no matter you agree or not.

So if you bought the motor vehicle used and all you have is a title then it is up to the new assignment (you) to dissolve that bond if you so wish.

I don’t know how many times I have to explain this to people when you have a title and the top of the title reads ‘The State of Ohio’ It is evidence of a trust relationship and that is right… You guessed it! You are the trustee and the state is the truster.
Understand now why everything can and has to go to probate now when someone dies?

Don’t spend too much time in depression over this as it has been this way forever and you can’t really do anything about it except educate yourself how to battle and win against the beast and the only way to win against the state is to never pick a fight with them in the first place.

You’d be more worried if you tried that up here, they tow the car and write you a $4000 fine if you don’t have insurance here. Not something to mess with IMO!

Just keep your nose clean and don’t do anything that would get you pulled over. I’m not proud of it, but I drove without insurance way back when for about a year. I mostly drove it to work and I purposely did not drive it only unless absolutley necessary. If I was going out for fun I would get a ride or just stay home. It’s certainly a gamble you take, but when you have to work and you don’t have enough money to pay the rent and the insurance, guess what isn’t gettin’ paid. And I was definitely not gonna lose my job just cause I had no insurance. Then I would be homeless too. So I understand your predicament.

And jacobnbr1? is totally right. When you get ?license, you enter into a contract with the state. You give up some of your rights for the privilege of driving. This is why they can give you a breathalyzer and search your car with reasonable suspicion. So driving is a privilege and not a right. You have to play by their rules and if you don’t like it that’s fine, just hand over your license and you don’t have to play their game. That’s why if you refuse a breathalyzer in most states you automatically get your license suspended. Talk about guilty before proven innocent. But this has been challenge all the way to the Supreme Court, so whatcha gonna do? I guess ya gotta do what ya gotta do.
