Hello Everybody,
So basically, I have an old Chevy Cavalier at my moms house that I would like to tow to where I live 265 miles away. I am trying to look for the cheapest way to do this.
I currently have a zip car membership, I found out I can rent a Toyota Tacoma (Couldn’t determine the year, but it is most likely a newer model.) To rent for the entire day for $105.00, gas included. The only catch is I would need to drive back to drop it off. (Not a huge deal, I like long drives.)
My question is, would I be able to tow my Cavalier with this truck? The Cavalier weighs about 2600lbs if I remember correctly. I don’t know anything about towing, so I don’t know if this truck would be equipped to tow my car, or if I would have to get something to equip the car so it can tow.
Could anyone give any advice?
BTW: I looked into Uhaul / Budget rent-a-truck. It would be around 350 bucks. If this zip car thing works it would be around 200 bucks.
