ELM 327 OBDII Bluetooth adapter (recommand one from BAFX) $23.99

So for less then $30 you can have an decent scanner app with an great display and customization. I’ve used this so many times on the go helping others or just testing some result to see what things are running at. Sometimes you just need to see raw data and whats happening at current time or go back to review later. It has features where you can graph data or log it. Also just think keeping the adapter in the grovebox and then all you need is the phone or tablet.
