Think i already know the answer, and currently i don’t have the money but i will in a little while and was wondering if you guy’s thought this was a steal? he’s asking 1200$ just for the boxes OR 1800$ total for boxes and all his tools? I’m currently enrolling in a associates program for automotive tech at a college nearby and i know i’ll need better and more tools than I’ve got now, hoping to maybe get a career in the tech ind. Anyway’s let me know what you think?

Doesnt look like a bad price, really depends on what tools he has in there. I know I priced out what I would call a “Basic” tool set and it would cost around $8000 new. Thats for 1/4, 3/8, 1/2 Socket Sets, Hex/Torx Sockets, Ratchets, Wrenches, Pliers, Wiring tools, Air Tools, Cordless Tools, Tap/Die sets, Drill bits, Screw/Nut Drivers, Hammers, and some specialty tools. If that box has most of that stuff and its a decent brand (ie. Craftsman), Go for it.
i am in the same situation you are. going to school soon and looking for a good set of alot of tools for the price of a smaller set brand new. looks ok, but i would ask to see more pics, cause what he shows of his tools is not really worth the extra $600 in my opinion. you can also get a us general tool box of good quality for less, with all the side boxes. ive been looking for hours a day sometimes for a good deal. this one looks promising, but only if there is alot more tools than in the pics.
