Hey Eric, I was wondering if you could make a video on using tools, so we can get the most out of the tools most of us probably have already. For instance I heard you could use a test light as a jumper, because if you were to hot wire a component and accidentally touched it to ground, instead of creating a short the test light would simply just light up. Also I heard somewhere you can also use a test light to trigger a relay or do a “tap” test to fire an ignition coil. I’m sure you know many tricks using tools, and believe this could make for an interesting video! Also maybe you could show some homemade tools! Would also love to see some check engine(mil) light diagnostics using live data! Love the videos and wish you many, many more years of success!

For me making one video on the topic is too general. I try to add my ‘tricks’ to every video they apply to. This way it’s relevant. As for test lights I don’t use those anymore as there are a lot of good replacement tools for those out these days that I like to use more. The Power Probe for one. Another reason that I’m not likely to make that video is that I don’t remember all the ‘tricks’. I pull them out when I need them. I’m always happy to show them when I can but they aren’t always at the front of my mind.

        Thanks for the suggestion.

Ok. Thanks anyways, just thought I’d ask. I do have another request, after finding out I wasn’t the only one really sure of how to read the wear indicator on an automatic tensioner, I was wondering if next time you find a belt that is worn, if you could show the before and after shots of the wear indicator? I would really appreciate it! Thank you, and keep up the great work!!! Congratulations on all your success!!!!

I actually cover that topic in this video.
