I’m 17 and deep in the auto world, i have held a job at a garage for a little over a year now, i have also won a few competitions on the state level for automotive. So my question to all the season mechanics out there is should i invest in buying off of tools trucks (me personally id only buy off of a Cornwell tool truck) or should i just go else were? I’m a huge fan of gear wrench products, and especially old craftsman stuff but i know for a fact all my tools will be used and will be used a lot. So would it be best to go ahead and buy Cornwell? or should i just keep on building on my gear wrench and husky collection? thanks all!

A tool truck is a good way to purchase tools you need and pay over time. You usually don’t have to pay interest on the purchase. They are a little pricy and you can find good tools cheaper if you look around.
im getting half off all snap on through their student excellence program. up to 13,000 dollars plus a tool box. ive used about 2,000 dollars so far and have some very nice snap on sets. my advice join a school with that program

Right on brother!
Snap-On has been doing this since the 70’s, and it’s probably the best source for a starter set. I started with Mac & Matco, but over the years dealers failed, tools broke and the replacements came from the only guy willing to stick it out thru the lean 80’s.I still have a few Matco tools, and the newest dealer, like the last one, is unwilling to replace broken items and referred me to their web site. I guarndamtee he’ll never see a dollar from me.
In the end it’s all about service, and more importantly who you can complain too when you don’t get it…
My dad was a gear head for over 30 yrs. his tool box was full of snap on,Mac ,Matco Cornwell, and even some Bonny tools. I believe he preferred Snap on.,because of the quality. He stopped mechanic work,only to sell Mac tools ,for about 10 yrs. he stood behind his product. My advice would be buy the best you can afford you will earn your living with them.good luck.
