      I went to those digital tire inflation places you’d see at car wash places. It didn’t look broken but I think someone was playing with it to put so much air in my tires in as little amount of time as I think that system is easily programmable. My tires could only allow 44 PSI of air in. I usually like mines at 40 PSI. So I set the digital tire inflation thing at 40 PSI, put some air in my tire, the system went straight to 62 PSI in about less than 20 seconds. I realized it was broken so I stopped using it. I didn’t think air was even put in the tire at first. I drove and it felt a bit uneven. I went to another digital tire inflation station and used that machine there and saw that my tire did have 62 PSI in according to the tire inflation machine, yet since my tire’s maximum allowable air in is only 44 PSI. I’m lucky the tire did not blow up on me. Should I expect some issue with this tire soon or what?

        You didn’t hurt anything, the bursting pressure for most car tires is 120 psi

        Secondly you most likely do not need 40 or 44 psi in the tire the pressure needed is on the door jam or door frame. Likely in the 30’s
        What you are reading is the max psi that the tire can hold , not what it is supposed to operate at.

            One of these is your best friend, and takes up no room inside your car.

            I would consult the tire data sticker in your car. Running at 40 psi doesn’t seem right, and you are probably over inflating your tires and wearing out your center line tread prematurely.

              Look at the front drivers side door somewhere in the door jam aka when you open the door around the edge of the door or where it mates with the car. You should see something similar to this:

              This is the psi recommended by the vehicle manufacturer. You want to inflate the tire cold aka early in the morning and not driven on it. (It is not a perfect world if you drive further then 10 miles or faster then 30mph for longer then 5 miles it will warm up the tires.) Basically cold air is more dense so as the tire heats up it will expand and actually give you a higher psi reading if you check it later and this is fine. These are pressures that are supposedly checked to work in extremely hot and cold climates.
