timing problem on a 98 chevy silverado

98 chevy silverado with a 5.7 vortec

Its running really rough and I pulled the code p01345 saying that the cam/crankshaft positioning sensor was off or the distributor or timing chain is off time.

What will need to be done. Im an automotive student and dont have much experience with anything like this. Will I need to change the timing chain and the distributor? Any suggestions or tips before i start.

The distributor has not been removed and it has over 200k miles on it
