Timing lights….?

What is the difference between these three timing lights and how do they work? Standard, Dial Back and Digital.?

Short answer:
A standard timing light allows you to check the initial timing of the vehicle at idle.
While Dial Back (also called Advance) and Digital timing lights allow you to check initial timing AND total timing.
