I’m trying to take the timing chain cover off of a 98 S10 2.2 4 cylinder. Two studs at the bottom that go through the oil pan have Torx heads on them. Chilton’s says nothing other than take them off with a torx socket. There’s a video on Youtube where a guy is doing the job and says it takes an E5 inverted torx.
I’ve been to Sears, O’Reilly, AutoZone and all their sets start at E6. Is there such a thing as an E5? Was the guy right about the size? Is there a work-around so I’m not buying a complete set for a socket I’ll use once?
(Gotta love Chilton’s…elaborate detail with pics on how to unhook the battery but nothing on the tricky stuff)
