      Hey Guys,
Just a quick question… I have done the timing belt in my 1994 Honda Accord (F22B). Everything lined up perfectly, belts went on fine, tensioned it to the book (Once at TDC, release tensioner bolt and rotate 3 teeth counter-clockwise then re-tension) and all is done. Started the car and it ran perfectly. However getting to my question, looking at the timing belt with the car running and after following the correct steps I just wondered if it was normal for it to vibrate a little bit on the long side? When I tensioned it, it felt like it was reasonable, not too slack or too tight. More of a peace of mind thing for me I guess.

      Thanks!

I believe the the long side (tension side)should be
        banjo tight.

A little belt vibration is normal. If it’s tensioned too tight it will be noisy and make a loud whirring sound.

A little vibration is normal. When I do those belts and set the tension, which you did correctly BTW, I often put my had on the cam gear to put a little ‘extra’ tension on the belt. This creates a little bit of extra resistance that seems to do the trick and make it just a little bit tighter.
