Hi Forum,
Nice to meet you here. Though I’m new, but I’ve been a big fan of Eric’s on youtube for a while. I enjoy working on my cars, such as changing fluids and minor repairs. For challenging jobs (such as timing belt), I’ll pay a professional do the work. Now I noticed a ticking sound that gets me concerned, as in this Youtube video:
The ticking noises appear when the car is warmed up, get quite obvious when pressing on the gas padel. I first noticed it 3 months ago and thought was exhaust shield. Now I think the noise is from the engine, on the side where the timing belt is.
My car: Honda Accord Hybrid 2005 V6 115K miles
Regular oil change with synthetic oil. The car is running fine.
The timing belt, water pump, and tensioner was replaced about 6 months ago.My question is: is this valves or lifters? or something with the timing belt? or something else?
Doctors, please help.
Thanks in advance.
