Throttle cleaner versus carb cleaner

I have heard many times to use throttle body cleaner instead of carb cleaner on the throttle body plates. My parts guy states the carb cleaner that advertises throttle body safe is safe for the throttle plates. The carb cleaner is cheaper and can be used for the vacuum leak check and IAC cleaning as well I believe.

What is everyones experience/ knowledge on the subject?

Throttle body cleaner is oxygen sensor safe, not sure if all carb cleaner is. Will say on the can. Same stuff otherwise I think
