Looks like valve cover gasket seepage is letting some oil in there. Eventually it can cause a misfiring problem with too much in there, although most engines tolerate a surprising amount of pooling around the spark plug before any misfiring starts. Sometimes the boots get bloated with oil soaking into them, and can even swell enough you can’t reinstall them. Yours looks pretty good. The valve cover is pretty dirty with all that crud filling in around your bolts, I bet the whole engine bay needs a good washing.

Actually it’s tube seals leaking oil, not valve cover gasket. But those are normally sold as a kit. Also, if it’s a Honda, make sure you replace the valve train towers seals. Eric has pretty good vid on that.

What is the round part to the left of the well that looks so nasty?
