      2002 Ford Windstar

      This vehicle was brought in for a “battery” light that was on even after the company had a rebuilt alternator installed. The vehicle was also acting strangely and had multiple ABS,BCM and PCM codes and a parts store testing the charging system noticed spikes up to 16 volts.

        mhm you’d think since a shop rebuilt it,itd be 100%.i see more rebuild mess ups on a cheaply rebuilt Chinese alt and starter

          Well lots of times re-builders use cheap outsourced regulators. For a non-pcm controlled alt I would be more likely to use a bit cheaper part to save the customer money, but with “smart” regulators the OEM is your best bet.

          This video also makes a good point that NEW does not mean good, as Ron Ananian says NEW stands for Never Ever Worked.
