Hey guys,
My accessory drive belt has been chirping for quite some time and it just keeps getting worse, and I am pretty sure that it is my tensioner pulley that is the issue. I have a pretty new belt on there so i don’t think that is the cause. But onto my question, I have a 2002 hyundai sonata and it doesn’t have an automatic belt tensioner. I was wondering how to release the tension on the belt. I know that I could unbolt my power steering pump and let up the tension that way, or I could unbolt the tensioner pulley ad then let the tension release that way. I was just wondering what I should do, and which way would be the easiest. Also, if anyone has done this on a hyundai was it a difficult job? Hope you guys can help me out.
Thanks!!
