TEHCM replacment on 2009 Yukon 6-speed Auto

Hello All,

So I have replaced the TEHCM on 2009 Yukon 6-speed Auto transmission. Before the installation the car would shift into 3rd gear directly and burn fuses the instant the fuse is installed. I am sure it was a bad TEHCM. So went ahead and replaced it. wasnt a tough job but really messy and greasy.

ISSUE I am facing is after finishing the istallation and filling the tany fluid, the car wont shit in gear at all. before it did. I know it needed a ECU flash. But some mechanics are telling me that the transmission should shift to any gear. So before I go out towing the car to a programming shop, is it normal that the car wont shift at all after replacing TEHCM unit ?

BTW, its a OE TEHCM bought from GM dealer using VIN number, so rule out the possibility thats not the right one for the vehicle.

Yes it should move. Did you get the manual valve put back in place?
