TDI Engine won’t start

The French Guy Come back again, lil resume after my other topic (http://www.ericthecarguy.com/kunena/8-Service-and-Repair-Questions-Answered-Here/52504-look-for-a-odd-coolant-leak) :

I bought another head, take it to the machine shop, they do some test, and the head come back OK.

I put the head on my engine, mount all the stuff around.

I do my timing belt

And she won’t started …

The starter is OK
The timing set is seems to be OK too
The (spark, it’s a diesel engine TDI) plug is OK

I hope my injection is OK too

I know my description is not very full of détails, i m waiting your question…

A diesel engine that cranks normally but won’t start regardless of the outside temperature either has low compression or a fuel delivery problem. If compression is okay, check the fuel gauge (out of fuel?). Then check the fuel filters and lines for obstructions.

If the injection pump isn’t pushing fuel through the lines to the injectors, it may have a faulty solenoid. Listen for a “click” inside the pump when the ignition switch is turned on. No click means the solenoid and/or pump need to be replaced. If it clicks but there’s no fuel coming through the injector lines (and the filter and lines are not obstructed), the pump is probably bad and needs to be replaced. [/i]

Something also to check – AdBlue level? Is the AdBlue light on? I know in mine, if it gets too low, the engine will not start, regardless if the gas tank is full and engine in perfect condition.

Hi guys,

I’m back, after some day, my engine start and running again, i have got some few things before test my lovely car on the road but the biggest problem solve, my tdi engine running 🙂 🙂 .

So i would like to thanks all of you, special thanks to ETCG n Ukrkoz, thanks to koinonia too 😉

My issue was, injector seal fail, i have change these seal and the tdi engine start yeeeaaahh ! I m happy !! 😀

I hope my lil 😆 engine keep running for some miles or kilometer again.

I know now… always replace your seal after remove engine part !!
