I think the TCS light only comes on when the system is active. I have a friend with a Jeep Liberty, and when I took it into a little mud, the light only came on when it was obviously trying to grab for traction. I don’t know the Ford version though, this is just my experience with a different vehicle. Your owner’s manual might be able to give you more info. Also, all cars made after 1996 had OBD II.

You are right that is exactly what is happening, the tcs light only comes on when it is trying to grab for traction and in the process its activating the abs which is the kicking sensation that I am getting from the peddle , and yes you are right about OBD 2. 🙂 when I typed OBD I forgot to put in the 2 lol haha Thanks.

I will post as soon as I can what the code reads and what I have done to get the TCS running effectively.

I was just wandering if anybody had any tricks or tips towards this topic.

Yea you first need to pull the code and then diagnose it. ABS and TCS are in essence the same system and share may of the same parts so if you have a problem with one the other will also have a problem, in fact many times if you have an ABS light the TCS light will also come on because of the integration between these 2 systems.
