2002 Taurus 3.0 OHV. When driving there is a whine when you turn the wheel, so I assume something with the power steering fluid/pump. The engine also revs 200 rpm when you turn the wheel. I’m trying to see if I need a new pump, new fluid or what exactly. The fluid is like a dark red. Thanks.

It also holds revs. When you are driving and get to 2000rpm and release, it will only drop to like 1200-1500. Sometimes it will accelerate when I’m not on the throttle, but only after revving it. The throttle doesn’t even seem sticky when I manually toy with it.

It also holds revs. When you’re driving and get to 2000 rpm and release, it will only drop to 1200-1500. In some cases it will accelerate with no input from me. The throttle body doesn’t seem sticky or anything when I fiddle with it. It also has an oil light, a gas cap light, and no engine, abs codes. I’ve bought an oil pressure sensor to replace to hopefully fix it. I’ve replaced valve covers because they were leaking. Gas cap idk. When you top it off it leaks, so maybe something with the fill hose.
