I have a 2000 chrysler neon. The car is good and gets me from point a to point b
I now have 200 000K on it and i was wondering if i should switch to synthetic.
I have always been running 5W30 Castrol oil in it.
Would synthetic help? or make it leak? i heard my previous owner mention when i bought the car at 100 000 k that he heard they leak with synthetic.A few years back this banging started on cold days which goes away within a few seconds of starting it. My mechanic tells me its just that oil is thicker and takes time before it goes up. I know synthetic oil is much better in cold weather but will it leak in a 2000 Chrysler neon?
Has anyone been running synthetic in those year cars before and how has it been with synthetic?
