surging

hi, im new to this so bare with me please. so I have a 2000 integra ls automatic, I jus did full tune up like 3 months ago and the car was running like a champ. THEN just the other day I was on the freeway going steady at like 55 mph, then all of a sudden IT FELT like I let off the gas an stepped on it again and does it all the time now. its not a real hard surge it seems to me like its slipping but it shifts fine idles fine it only does it while driving at a steady speed its really frustrating because car funs perfect besides this surging while going at steady speeds please help me

Ok heres an update after i did timing belt valve adjustment it still did it but just not as bad so i took it apart again and double checked valves and timing since it went away a little and same deal surges slightly now ok

So my friend came over and unpluged my downstream o2 sensor and told me to take a dive around the block so i did and there was no surging we went on the highway and still no surging so my question now is was it the o2 the whole time is it really bad and how do i check it i saw the o2 video and it looks right to me im kinda confused by this if its possible help please thank you

Only an opinion here. After all you’ve been through why not just throw the o2 sensor at it? I can’t say with any certainty that it will cure your ill, but logically it is what I would do if I were in your shoes! Maybe you found it!

ok ill try it, does it matter what brand what brand would n e one recommend???

I recommend DENSO. Replace both up and down stream. Buy them on Amazon. You can get them for half the price as compared to your local auto parts store. Got both of mine for 90, auto wanted 95 for one. I never asked but is the car stock. Do you have cold air intake. clean the throttle body. http://youtu.be/41yFXjibtLY

yes I have a cold air intake so you got it for 90 each or for both

I would have loved to know them before. It could simply be that your intake needs to be cleaned. K&N sells a cleaner. I bet this is the issue hear. Try this and also clean the throttle body. Do you have a generic air intake. those are not the best at filtering air particles as good as the K&N is.

its k&n will I ordered the sensors well see how it goes ill clean throttle body tomorrow and let u no whats up thanks for your help
