I have been doing many tests. Theres the audio of fluctuating exhaust. Its kinda hard to record the actual occurrence though. Its gone from a surging to a: ‘I turn on the car, let it go into closed loop, drive down to the end of the block. accelerate agai
July 10, 2012 at 11:00 am #463746You said you changed the fuel filter. Did you do the sock or the filter?
July 10, 2012 at 11:00 am #463747Fuel filter. A mechanic did that. Or at least he claimed to. Looking at it, it looked the same as before.

July 11, 2012 at 11:00 am #463750I’m still not convinced it’s a fuel issue and I think you’re wasting your time looking for one there.
July 11, 2012 at 11:00 am #463751Yeah, the ultragauge shows most of the sensor readings but not always voltages. My downstream o2 sensor shows around .02 sometimes spikes at .5 and .9 but it stays rather low. The usptream
July 13, 2012 at 11:00 am #463752You might also check the mechanical timing as well as the timing belt tension, if the timing belt is loose it can cause timing fluctuations that can effect the idle and performance.
July 13, 2012 at 11:00 am #463753Ok. That seems plausible. I cannot remember if the timing belt was changed when I got the car two years ago. Would that explain why this would happen upon a cold start more often? The computer does not have enough to adjust or something?
July 13, 2012 at 11:00 am #463754What you would do is remove the valve cover and check the timing marks on the cam and crank and also the belt deflection by pushing on it.
July 14, 2012 at 11:00 am #463755The video only covers the b series. I have an f22b1 vtec. Ill look on youtube.
July 14, 2012 at 11:00 am #463756there will be marks on the pulleys and they will have to line up with marks on the engine._x000D_
they are usually at 12 o c._x000D_
the crankshaft pulley will be similar….mark on the pulley, mark on the engine casting/plastic cover etc.July 14, 2012 at 11:00 am #463757Alright thanks, I’ll have to take pics cuz I’m not entirely certain what I’m looking for when I look.
July 14, 2012 at 11:00 am #463758Well I did some work on my car and I could not figure out how to remove the cover to the timing belt in the amount of time I had. But before I go through that and see what it is-
July 15, 2012 at 11:00 am #463762Twice. Once two months ago and then yesterday again to double check. I even checked the EGR
