      Hey Eric –

Watched quite a few of your videos and I would like to offer my experience as a shop owner and a technician with a little different background. Currently our shop does performance minded Subaru repair and modification my personal background is software engineering and industrial machinery and some formal training in generators and power distribution with the US Army.

I’ll make an effort to be a contributing member here but for my first suggestion I would suggest you get in contact with your local Wurth representative. I have had Wurth doing all my hardware for several years now and they have an excellent selection of JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard) hardware. They also have embossed worm clamps (much prefer these especially on silicone hose) and we absolutely LOVE having an ear clamps assortment. They are amazing for small diameter hoses (even vacuum lines, etc) and I know you are doing forced induction on that Fairmont….. you will want a solution for securing vacuum lines under boost, etc. Maybe do a video on ear clamps and how much superior they are for even clamping force. They also look really professional. We love using them on trans cooler hoses, etc. We never have comebacks due to leaking hoses when using ear clamps and the high strength embossed worm clamps.

The DIY community will appreciate the professionalism and I’m sure they can find this stuff if they look around. You just have to do some legwork if you aren’t a business but the ear clamps pliers aren’t expensive and the clamps are super cheap.

      Check it out.

First, thank you for your service.

I’ve always loved the stuff from Wurth. I’d love to have a partnership with them. I’m actually at SEMA 2016 as I type this. If I get the opportunity, I’ll stop by their booth and see if I can work something out. If not, I’ll reach out to them when I get back.

Great suggestion on the clamps as well.

        Thanks for the suggestion!

They also have a rechargeable brake clean system that rocks. You buy the brake cleaner in 5 gallon drums and they give you the charging station that charges the cans using shop air. Better for the environment and really convenient.

They comp us the cabinets and hardware drawers for stocking the hardware – we agree to buy their hardware.

They have a really nice set of interior panel pry tools, and get yourself their 3/8 and 1/4 stubby, toothless ratchets. They are awesome.

I’ll have other suggestions for you soon.

          Rick
