Eric, If you’re looking for suggestions for new videos that go along with your “Diagnose First” mantra, I’d like to suggest that you go over the various sensors and where they are generally located, and what they generally do.

If you used a generic type of fluid, it may not have met the exact required specifications for your particular trans. All fluids are different and have different chemical make-ups.

It is ture that the correct fluid is everyting on some vehicles, I’m not as familiar with problems like that with Toyota but I know Honda’s don’t like it when you use fluids made by people other than Honda. Given that the noise seems to have changed after changing the fluid I would say that you are on the right track so I would change the fluid again as you suggest and see if the noise goes away completely.
