On my drive to work today as i was passing someone due to them only going 45mph my throttle got stuck. I managed to pull off to a side street and pull over by shutting the engine off and using the handbrake. I popped the hood and loosened the cable so i could make it to work and home.
Previously the throttle would sometimes get stuck or slowly accelerate when the clutch was pressed down idled at stop signs/lights.
My question is if i need to simply clean the throttle body? Or do you or anyone believe i may need a new throttle position sensor? or any other information you may have to solve the issue
Thanks 🙂
P.s. i have a 2000 nissan maxima SE 5speed. 110k miles.
