can you get a piece of emery cloth on it to clean any corrosion?

I’ve had this same problem, once you get it to spin that’s usually a good sign, I got a set of vise grips on it then I just kept hitting it with kroil or PB blaster and heating it, then turning it back and forth, it slowly worked its way out. When I got it out dust poofed out haha. When you do get it out get new pins. I mean worse come to worse and you cant get them out then yeah getting new brackets and pins would work too, but that means more money.

I second the buying new pins recommendation. I had to use a BernzOMatic Oxy-Mapp torch to get a pin off my brother’s PT Cruiser and it stretched like crazy while I was unscrewing it. The trick I used was to take the entire caliper assembly off, disconnect the line, bleed the piston and used heat and candle wax until the thing started to move. Only one of the pins was stuck; the other came out just fine. I ended up getting a caliper rebuild kit as well just in case I torched any of the rubber while I was hitting it with heat. Everything went back together nicely, but I told my brother that next time, he’s on his own.

Update… Been a while but thought is would mention how i resolved this.
I wound up just drilling out the old pin until it came loose.
She is all better now and brakes feel much better 🙂
