Got a quick question about engine mount stretch bolts. I jut personally did a timing belt job on my 2.0 golf and was wondering if people re used the stretch bolts on the bracket to the block. I’ve done some research and some people say replace others say its ok to reuse. Gimme your thoughts.

I would replace them. Not worth a possible snap off.

They are one use bolts, just like any tty bolts. Always replace.

Correct. TTY (torque-to-yield) bolts should always be replaced, especially when they join two parts that can exhibit relative motion to each other. Basically any parts that have a gasket or bearing between them.

I’m with the group, replace them.
