      So I’m trying to replace the front struts on my 2002 Dodge Stratus and I’m running into an issue.

      I loosened the nut that is holding the upper control arm and then I shacked the nuckle until it broke free from the ball joint. I then started loosing the nut however when I turn the nut I can also see the bolt turning on the stud of the control arm so nothing is happening essentially. How should I get that bolt to stop turning so I can get the nut off?

        Try holding the stem with needle nose.
        For future reference; take the bolt all the way off or only on the last thread or two before knocking the ball joint loose.

          I just noticed that the bottom of the bolts have an opening for an Allen wrench. I’m going to try that and see if that allows me to get it off.
