stinky exhaust

I have a 2001 subaru forester and I changed the cat bought a walker brand and when into up hills and on the gas hard exhaust smell is really strong like exhaust pipe is in car

make sure you don’t have any exhaust leaks under hood, it can suck the fumes in through the hvac systm.

And if it isn’t one of the junctions that was disturbed during to the cat R&R, I’d be looking at the flex pipe as the prime suspect.

I don’t have a flex pipe and smell isn’t all the time just up big hills now and again
