97 Olds Bravada, 4wd
Back to work on this thing, I think I’m going to name her “Zombie” after all these things I’m doing to bring it back to life. Anyhow, The steering wheel has a bit of slop, ONLY on the right side. The left side is nice and snug. The vehicle does not pull to the right abnormally, lIke if alignment was out of wack. Also, the steering wheel is “not centered” so while driving straight, the wheel is at a slight angle toward the right side (wheels straight)
The only things that I have replaced are the inner and outer tie rods and wheel bearings. I do believe this vehicle was in a front end collision at one point, causing air bag to deploy according to stored data from my scanner. I have checked out excessive play underneath while the steering wheel was moving and didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary. Forgive the ignorance if I have any about this, as I have had little experience with steering diagnostics.
Any thoughts on this? Thanks in advance!
