I have a 2009 Buick Lacrosse CX. On my way back from school today as I took the ramp off of the interstate I made an abrupt U-turn. I accelerated as I made the turn, causing the differential to lock up and the traction control light came on. For the next 2-3 miles the car intermittently swerved left then right. I haven’t driven it since, and was wondering what would cause this and if I should take it back to the dealership under warranty and have the steering components checked out.

If it’s under warranty take it back to the dealer.

+1 on taking the vehicle in if it is under warranty. Do you have an ABS or traction control light on?

No, not lights on the dashboard are on. I have school again tomorrow then we have spring break. I’m going out early in order to take my car to a detail shop. If the problem persists I’ll take it in to the dealer.

If it is a TCS issue.

                try turning the TCS off.

but go back to the dealer.

I would probably take it to the dealer before I took it to the detail shop.

                    I agree.

If you car was intermittently swerving left to right, and if you insist on getting it detailed, I would tow it to the detail shop, and then tow it to the dealer.

Yea don’t work hard if you don’t have to take it to the dealer and have them mess with it.
