      Here is my story:
I just returned home from MetroPCS to drop off a phone for my mom. I was in and out in less than 1 minute. I hopped back inside my car so I can go to Wal-Mart and this is my video proof of my problem.

This is a nagging problem lately and I like to have this problem fixed right away so I won’t be stuck somewhere I don’t want to be. Plus I brought a OBDII reader yesterday to pull codes and there was none at all. HELP!!!

what year is the car? some newer ones have security chips in the key that if they get damaged or the ignition reader goes bad it wont start. could also be bad starter or bad ignition itself. and have you tested the battery lately? new cars pull so much power for all the electronics, that a dying battery will power everything else but wont be enough to crank the engine. also check all the cables for corrosion or breaks.

when my truck does this its the starter. it gets hot and the solenoid wont engage until it cools down.

          It’s a 2000 Honda Accord.
          The battery is strong.
          There is no corrosion.

The clunks in the beginning are those from the engine bay (does it sound as if something is moving)?

I would check that the relay for the starter works and measure on the leads if it gets voltage when you try to crank it. Could be a stuck starter motor also. It seems to start just fine when it finally does, is that correct?

The clunk you hear is from the engine bay. I believe it’s from the starter motor trying to turn.
Now the relay, how can I tell if the relay is bad?
I don’t have the tool to measure the voltage while cranking.
And to answer the last question, it starts just fine.

A relay clicks as you turn the key, but dependent on the location of it you might not hear it. If it clunks it sounds like a stuck starter as it is getting power but not turning (it is stuck). Low tech is to bang it with a hammer a few times as a temporary solution and replace it when you have the money (I don’t know if you can get them refurbished where you live at a price worth it).

Let a “real tech” confirm or pitch in with other ideas before you go buy something :).

                  I’ll do that.

no crank no start.(intermittent)here are some videos to help get started.
try wiggling the ignition key while trying to start it.see if it starts.
